How to make a Windows 10 USB recovery drive

One of the first things you should do with your Windows 10 computer is make a recovery USB drive. Then if it every stops working, you have a tool that should be able to help you fix it.

Buy the memory stick I used here:
Kingston Digital DataTraveler 16 GB

Camera – Canon EOS 700D (Rebel T5i)

Microphone – Rode Videomic Pro

Laptop – HP Spectre x360

  1. I have Ubuntu in my lap and I created a recovery drive before moving from win10 to Ubuntu. Can I do this process to reinstall win10 or there will be any problem.Thank you.

  2. just use Marcium Reflect…it's free and you can make Clones and Images of your drives. I use it, and back up my windows drive to a 256g usb flash drive. It compresses and mine averages about 90+/- gb each backup. And it takes only about 30 mins

  3. Thank you for the great video. Wish I would've found this video sooner. I currently have two dead PCs because I didn't do this. For sure I'm going to do this with my last surviving PC.

I will make a recovery drive for my Dell Windows 7 w/ Service Pack 1, bought in 2010.
I’ve been trying to update to Windows 10, quite unsuccessfully.
I next will try it with my Norton AntiVirus disabled.

  6. Recovery is always an option but for me, I have had a lot of trouble even after recovering. Best to clone drives on a regular basis.

  7. after clicking the Advanced option. there are no "Recovery from drive" button. only the option from "advanced option" are there
