For this video we’re taking a look at the best anime that feature characters being thrust into a whole new world. From adventure series like Kono Sub, to over powered tyrant wars like Overlord, and even heartbreaking tragic series like Re:Zero (we love you, Rem). We’re not including reverse isekai or travelling to the past, so shows like Inuyasha, Drifters, Re:Creators and The Devil Is A Part-Timer (Maou-Sama) need not apply. We’re going from Tokyo to a fantasy world, so you better pack your bags.

  1. Among all of these Isekai animes, Konosuba is definitely the most hilarious. It tells a story when Isekai cliche goes wrong, very wrong. You are not given OP skills, classes, or equipments. You are just a normal guy who is stuck with the most useless, crybaby, greedy, lazy, and destructive goddess-slash-archpriest ever. You are also given a harem like all isekai MC, sounds good right? But your girls all have something wrong with their head, and it depends on you to keep them in check. Konosuba is when you start playing a completely new game on the extreme mode: every monster is overpowered (can you believe cabbages and lettuces can fly and smash you badly? can you imagine killing harmless monsters later invite a moster who is unkillable and can chop your head like slicing tofu?) while you are cursed with bad lucks from your companions who love causing havocs more than anything and refuse to change. You will get so used to death, humiliation and debt as they become your daily routine. And unlike other games where you can avoid meeting boses, on one beautiful day you may find a boss in front of your house out of nowhere, or on a happy vacation. Besides, your worst enemies are not demons and monsters but your teams, their acquaintances and the supposed "good" guys.

  2. I even got this opinion though but i think that “that time i got reincarnated as a slime” is a successor of “OverLord”

  3. Seriously, why does anyone like Sword Art Online. I forced my self to see it to find out what all the hype was about, but couldn't get through half the season because of how god awful it is. I can enjoy an anime that's bad but still fun, but this was just bad and infuriating. I looked up a plot summery after and somehow it apparently just gets worse. Who likes that stuff!?

  4. I'm quite happy you quoted KNIGHTS & MAGIC! I can't understand why OVERLORD so much overrated – bad graphic, no plot, no meaning, contradictions everywhere. K&M is a nice evolution story, well paced and drawn too.
